Why use we chose bamboo.
3 words: sustainability, organic, biodegradable.
It is important to us that our children have a healthy planet to grow up with. We know all parents feel this way, so we have done the research for you, and created a range that aligns with our values and love for the environment. Bamboo is the best choice for your baby, and for the planet’s future.
Bamboo, is a grass rather than a tree, making it one of the most sustainable resources on earth, textile or otherwise. Bamboo can grow up to 91cm in one single day. It does not require replanting due to its vast root network. Especially important to adoreu baby, is that bamboo is organic, it does not need fertilisers or pesticides to assist in growth. Not only is it earth-friendly, but it is also an environmentally intelligent choice because bamboo minimises CO2 and generates 35% more oxygen than trees. It is also 100% biodegradable.
The fibres of bamboo come together to create an incredibly soft fabric that is both gentle and luxurious to touch. The fabric is breathable, statistically bamboo fabrics ‘breath’ better than cotton, it absorbs and evaporates humidity helping to regulate body temperature. This makes bamboo perfect for ALL climates and a fabulous choice for babies, when considering overheating and the sensitivity of their skin.
Bamboo fabrics are hypoallergenic, research indicates that because Bamboo is grown organically and does not need pesticides, it has anti-bacterial properties to help keep baby free of micro-organisms that may cause illness.
We have created the adoreu baby collection using sustainably sourced materials and socially ethical factories to manufacture in. Our bamboo is from FSC accredited farms, with Eco-cert certification, our manufacture has GOTS certification and Oeko-Tec 100 certification. For more details on these see below.
